The Gearlab Deck Pod can hold a variety of items inside the padded bag and attached. As it has a mesh panel underneath it is not waterproof in itself so any precious items should be placed inside a waterproof container.
Gearlab Deck Pod fits a hydration bladder up to 3L.
The large tube opening and see through mesh pocket holding the bite valve, paddlers could drink water easily and paddle farther.
The external holders on both sides of the Gearlab Deck Pod are designed to hold bilge pump and paddle float, providing direct access to pull out and insert the safety equipment from cockpit.
Low profile design reduces wind resistance and stays away from paddling strokes.
Mounting and removing the Gearlab Deck Pod is quick and easy with quick release buckles.
The carry handle is placed beneath the pod, not visible when the Gearlab Deck Pod is secured on the deck.
The discreet design eliminates the confusion with spray skirt handle in emergency situations.
A long mesh pocket inside the pod holds and organises small items.

Good thinking by the designer of this deck organiser. For years I’ve had my paddle float and hand pump stuffed away either inside the cockpit or on the deck under bungees. This deck bag neatly stows them both close by and out of the way of paddle stroke, and a handy compartment for flares. The only issue is that it doesn’t quite snugly buckle up on my narrow deck (XciteS) so I just need to work out something to stop it moving on the deck. Wider mainstream kayaks won’t have this issue. Very fast delivery interstate too.
