Our Courses

East Coast Kayaking offers a range of courses to introduce you to kayaking in a safe and supportive environment. Courses range from short introductions to get you out on the water safely, to full day courses and courses designed to extend your skills into another level and begin to explore our coastal waters.

We have courses designed to help you realise your kayaking dreams and ambitions:

  • Learn to handle a fishing kayak safely - learn to paddle, when to go out and what to wear
  • Prepare for the kayaking you have booked on your Antarctic cruise
  • Adventure race preparation - train for the paddle leg or learn paddling so you can support an ocean swimmer
  • Surf ski - training for fitness or recreation
  • Sea kayaking - can be a relaxing paddle or take it to the next level
  • Expedition preparation - whether you are preparing for a paddle on the Lakes, a trip arond the Whitsundays, even that big trip (Bass Strait!)or an overseas adventure - we can help with training, gear and the experience of loacl knowledge

Courses take place over the weekend, but can also be undertaken by Private Tuition (1:1 or small group session) at a time to suit you.
