Comfortable, easy to install and adjust. Small size, fits in almost any boat and provides maximum amount of back support. A great replacement for your OEM backband.

Immersion Research specializes in the manufacture of ratchet-style back bands. IR’s particular style of back bands feature the combination of a traditional kayak backrest and snowboard binding ratchets to create a very easy to adjust but remarkably stable and strong unit that can be fit in almost any kind of closed deck boat.

Without the IR Adaptor straps, some extra 1" webbing tape is included and can be used if necessary to attach to the strap that goes through the ratchets. Either bolt to the strap (double tape for extra stiffness & use a large washer (not included) or use a short section of webbing to go around the end of the strap (see pic below).
