One of the simplest pieces of equipment in your kayak is a sponge, or "bailing sponge" - being the bailer required under Marine Safety Regulations for kayaks with enclosed cockpits and compartments. Aside from regulations, though, it is the piece of kit you will use most frequently with your kayak - not just to get that last bit of water out of the cockpit but also for cleaning up and making sure your kayak is spick and span before you put it away.
Our Bailing Sponges are already made up for you or you can make your own:

Love this sophisticated sponge, at least to the extent that it is possible to love a sponge.
It soaks up 600ml (1 pint) water, which is much more than the other car wash sponges I have tried.
The cover and clip keep it secure on board when you flip the kayak.
Great value!
