Affordable contact tow line - features adjustable width to suit a variety of kayak widths, and quick release as an additional safety feature. A contact tow is an essential tool where you are paddling with a buddy and one becomes incapacitated. It is designed to hold two kayaks together so that the incapacitated paddler can rest and be supported by the rescuer's kayak while the other paddles. Prussik loops enable the contact across a variety of width of kayaks.
Compact enough to be stored in your PFD or clipped to your deck fittings when not in use.
If you wish to make up your own tow line, using the instructions from our YouTube, the components can be purchased separately
Components:
1x 50mm SS Snap Hook
1x 70mm SS Swivel Snap Shackle
80cm 4mm Yellow Polypropylene rope
1.8m 6mm Braided Reflective rope
25cm 4mm rope
Note that replacement or separate components are available to purchase, although ropes are sold per metre if purchased separately.
We recommend you undertake training in rescue and towing techniques with a qualified instructor - see our Learn to Sea Kayak - Sea Starter Course

I received the item very promptly and in its entirety. I bought the DIY kit version and followed the excellent instructional video to quickly assemble it. Kayak Shop managed my confused queries patiently and professionally. Highly recommended!
