Created using Kajak Sport's proprietary material, this hatch cover opens entirely new possibilities in performance, usability, and design. The result is a fully waterproof, exceptionally lightweight, and remarkably easy-to-use hatch cover that performs consistently in both arctic cold and tropical heat.

Designed to fit both composite and plastic kayaks, the cover maintains excellent flexibility and sealing performance regardless of temperature, UV exposure, or changing weather conditions. Whether used on long expeditions, daily training sessions, or weekend adventures, it delivers dependable protection every time.

Thanks to its ultra-light construction, a kayak equipped with four hatch covers can save nearly 500 grams in total weight, without compromising durability or strength.

The clean, modern design integrates seamlessly with any kayak deck, while the ergonomic hatch pull ensures effortless opening, even with cold hands or gloves. Two integrated leash attachment points underneath the cover provide practical security for demanding marine use.

The material is fully UV- and weather-resistant and engineered for a long service life. It is chemically inert, does not release microplastics, and remains stable in water, making it a responsible choice for long-term outdoor and marine environments.

Kayak Models:

The Kajak Sport VCP (Valley Canoe Products) Standard Round Hatch is designed to fit the rear day hatch of all Valley, North Shore, and NDK kayak models, as well as many other leading brands like Impex and Necky, , along with other compatible brands. Common Valley models include the Etain, Nordkapp, Anas Acuta, Aleut, and Rapier.
Fits earlier generations of Nadgee sea kayaks and Mirage sea kayaks that originally used Valley hatch covers. If you are not sure check your rim width against measurements below (Later versions of these kayaks fit the KS Round 44/26 size).

Compatible with the Valley Oval (17 1/4 x 10") hatch (on hard black rims) - 43.5 x 25 cm (outer edge) - the hard black plastic hatch rim (not rotomolded/PE kayaks or some others such as Valley Sirona composite.

Canoe Sports Raiders - a firm fit to replace the original soft foamie cover (which we can't get) - check the size of  rim first! It is a firm fit - make sure the oval is correctly aligned. There are different variations of this hatch in the Raiders and not all have available replacements.

The VCP range of Kajak Sport hatch covers are designed to be compatible with Valley Canoe Products (VCP) rims - they fit the oval hatch on Valley kayaks and many models constructed with that type of rim.
