Product Description

The Light Rubber Cover (LRC) Hatch series is our latest hatch development together with the LRC-HT series. Elasticity describes this series most incisive. This cover is made for an option for the original rubber cover.

The LRC has a good stretch ability to work watertight in PE-rims. It is lighter than the original rubber cover and has more elegant visual surface quality. The lightness can easily be noticed as this series really floats! The profile of the LRC-series is identical compared to the original rubber covers, so they have equal fitting properties to various rims, however original rubber cover is possible to over stretch thanks to the superior elasticity properties of the material. The LRC material is fully UV and weather protected for long use.

Dimensions:

Weight: 226g
Rim Width: 20.9cm
Cover Width: 220mm
Cover Height: 30mm
Fits: CD Sirocco daty hatch
Not an exhaustive list!

  1. kajak rim and hatch cover. 4 Star Review

Great product and will work great once I work out how to fit to a curved deck of a plastic boat. Luckily the preferred sikaflex product will also still to fibreglass. At this stage I'm leaning toward making a "glass" pad that will fit the curvature of the foredeck and have a flat top to accept the hatch rim. Only has to be 6mm thick at the most. Either that or shape a hdpe chopping board to fit, think the former is easier way to go.

  2. Great hatch cover 5 Star Review

I prefer the LRC cover to the 'click on'. I've found that the click-on, although easy to fit, takes some effort to remove. Even using maximum diameter cord as a pull toggle, and being very careful and slow to remove, I have torn the plastic bridge of the tab. If the bridge holds, i have found that the tab starts to delaminate/separate from the body of the hatch.
