Install on a flat (level) section of kayak. This may be directly behind the cockpit as shown in the diagram, or further back.

Before purchasing, please ensure:

• the deck is suitable - flat area so the clamps will stand vertical when screwed down
• the bulkheads are not going to be in the way

These grips are similar to the KS Self Rescue clamps, but are strapped down using velcro rather than plastic clamps. This means they are more likely to require 2-handed operation but also the deck does not have to be as absolutely flat as with the Clamps.
