Neoprene hatch covers provide a waterproof seal under hard hatch covers. You must have a hard cover over these to prevent wave implosion

When your hatches are a non-standard size or shape you may need to send us a template in order to create your customised hatch cover. Please allow a couple of weeks to be manufactured (2-4 weeks).

We do stock (separate listings):
  - 8" round hatch covers (20cm)
  - 10"round hatch covers (25cm)
  - Oval hatch covers (50 x 31cm to fit older Mirage Sea Kayaks 530 / 580)

For a Custom-Fitted Oval hatch cover:

1. Trace a template on a piece of not-too-thick plastic (orange garbage bags are perfect). See Youtube video below. Make sure you trace around the outside of the hatch rim.
2. Label the template with your name, kayak make & model, and whether it is fibreglass or plastic
3. Post your template to us at East Coast Kayaking, PO Box 7522, Beaumaris VIC 3193 

For all custom hatch covers, it is also helpful to email pictures of the hatch:

1. From above with a tape measure for sizing and 
2. From the size to show thickness of the rim.

On average it will take a few weeks to create your covers (3-4 weeks).
