The cover floats when dropped in the water, and are easy to attach while still offering a superior watertight seal. Sea-Lect Designs' VCP Oval hatch is compatible with the Valley Canoe Products (VCP) oval hatch when mounted on an injection molded rim bolted/glued to the deck; not recommended for rotomolded kayaks that do not feature this rim

The 17 1/4 x 10" oval hatch cover fits the oval hatch on a range of kayaks including Mirage 530 / 580 / 730 that have the Valley rubber hatch in the rear (not the models that have neoprene with fibreglass hatch) and older Nadgees - fits Valley rims.
