New colour - hi Vis Orange - be seen out on the water!
A PFD Type 1,2,3 / Level 100, 50 or 50S is required when kayaking in Victorian waters and most other Australian states
Ultra's ever popular Pinnacle is their premium front entry paddling vest. It is packed full of features like a specially designed EPIRB/GPS pocket and expanding cargo pockets. The rear hydration pocket is also an expanding zipperless design. We’ve added a front zip for easy fitting and included multiple side adjusters for added security. The shoulder design is adjustable with neoprene allowing the whole unit to flex and move with you. The Pinnacle Series III has a stable buoyancy design with over 6kg of upward thrust
Colours: We recommend Type 2 PFD (level 50) with high visibility colours - these are high vis Orange
Certification: AS4758
Size Guide: (using lower part of this chart below)
Size- Level 50/50S Adult size |
S | M | L | XL | 2XL |
Chest up to cm | 90cm | 100cm | 110cm | 120cm | 130cm |
Weight Category | 40-60kg | 60-70kg | 70kg & over |
Note: Chest sizing is a guide only. Correct fitting can only be determined by wearing the PFD.
Weight category is indicative as you need sufficient buoyancy provided by the foam for your weight to provide the 50N buoyancy these PFDs are rated for, but you need to be guided by the chest measurement for fit.

The only reason I have held back a star is that I have yet to be immersed in the water in it so I can't say how well it performs its priomary function. But I kayaked in it for 3 days last week and it was really comfy - no annoying abrasion anywhere. It kept me warm too during heavy rain and strong headwinds. Might be a bit hot in summer in QLD - will have to wait and see. Mine is Medium and it is quite snug on me - I'm a size 12. But it is easiuly adjustable. The orange is much more high-vis than the photo, which is fantastic. Apart from the zipper being a bit hard to get going, I love it.
