Half Deck / Sun deck

When you don't need the protection of a full spray deck but still want to keep the sun off your legs - flat water, particularly distance paddling such as the Massive Murray Paddle.

These decks are crafted from proofed nylon (red colour) with a curved perspex insert to lift it above your legs.

Two styles:

Standard: fits most decks that are not really big and have gently curved forward coaming. (not pointy). Perspex curve is 57cm and length fro front to behind the perspex 38cm. This will not be at the widest part of your cockpit.

Mirage: Shaped for pointier bows such as the Mirage Sea Kayak. Perspex curve is 53cm and length fro front to behind the perspex 39cm. This will not be at the widest part of your cockpit.

Colour: Blue

Both models have bungee cord extending out 70-72cm each side for tightening around the back of the cockpit (adjustable).

Measurements are approximate.

There is no pull tab at the front as these decks are designed to be easy to get out of in the event of capsize (no waist tube).

What makes EW decks so different?

• If you find that you are in that situation when you need to "bail" the release strap is big and easy to find and very securely joined. You can trust it to not fail when your life depends on it! The EW team use them themselves.
• They are not a mass produced effort with a "one size fits all" mentality, if your seat position is forward or back in the boat don't spend your energy fighting the deck ! tell us where you sit and we will get the tube in the right place for you.
• Electric Water custom make decks to fit your boat.  We want you safe and secure so we make the deck to suit your boat.  They may take a little longer to get but they are definitely worth the wait.
