Size is power. The longer the paddle is, the more power it produces. The shorter the paddle is, the less power it produces. The best of both words, the Regular Size will give you enough power, while relaxing enough for your long journeys.
At present the IPIK will be available only in 219cm length.
Add your wingspan and cubit(*the length of the arm from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger)measurements together. This is the ideal size of your paddle.
A slightly shorter paddle is preferable for paddling in windy and rough water conditions because the slightly smaller blade provides less resistance out of the water and more control in the water.
A shorter paddle is optimum for a higher, more powerful stroke, while longer paddles benefit paddlers with a low, rapid stroke.
Gearlab understands open waters can be a challenging and unpredictable environment. This program is an additional coverage we offer to support kayakers when you experience a major structural damage on the paddle as a result of your paddling activity during rough conditions.
If you damage or crash your paddle in the waters during a paddling activity, Gearlab Outdoors offers an industry first, 3-Year Crash Replacement Program. This program allows you to replace your same paddle at a greatly reduced cost. The program aims to offer a peace of mind coverage to support the paddle owners when things don’t go your way out in open waters. It does NOT cover accidental or intentional damages to the paddle on land.

I ve been using a Kalleq paddle for 12 months & decided to purchase an Ipik paddle. A beautifully crafted paddle , having an oval shape loom makes it so comfortable to hold and the small shoulders on the blades are great locators for your hands. In lumpy seas and using my sail this paddle is a standout ! Awesome! Cheers Ben
