Sea-lect Designs oval hatch cover that is compatible with the Valley Canoe Products oval hatches.

  • Valley Canoe Products 17-1/4" x 10" cover  (unavailable at this time)

Hatch Rim (outside of rim): 43.5 x 25 cm (10 x 17 1/4")
Outside dimensions
(area required to mount):		 28 x 46.5 cm

Can be installed on a flat area of deck with dimensions 28 x 46.5 cm.

Sea-Lect Designs VCP Oval hatch is compatible with the Valley Canoe Products (VCP) oval hatch when mounted on an injection molded rim bolted/glued to the deck; not recommended for rotomolded kayaks that do not feature this rim (*SEA-LECT Designs is not affiliated with Valley Sea Kayaks and/or Kayak Sport, reference to these brands only indicates similar sizing of hatch cover products).

    Requested a Valley rim to replace the rear main hatch (same size for the front hatch). It seems usually this rim would be epoxyed in to a fiber glass deck in a flat seamless design but the Nadgee Solo seems to rely om countersunk bolts sealed with sikaflex. Had to custom shape the base plate to fit and likewise the bolt holes (changed the types of bolts used), very messy. But once fitted both the original and replacement hatches fit with a bone dry result, overall worth the effort if I avoided a not so tight fitting hatch like the original rim.
