This foot brace and rudder control assembly includes ergonomically designed, two-part foot pedals that offer significant advantages over anything else on the market.
Unlike other systems, your feet don't slide back and forth to steer. The lower half of the pedals is locked in position so you remain in a solid brace at all the times.
Steering is accomplished by minute pressure from your toes to the top half of the pedals. Even while seated, pedal position is easily adjusted for different users/ Pedals cannot be accidentally dislodged and the track design prevent sand build-up.
The Transitional series feature an aluminium rail with the pedals in a hanging position that prevents them from getting jammed with sand or debris.
This Transitional series Toe Pilot Footbrace has the Control Cable 15' pre-installed (can be trimmed).
Includes:
2x Toe Pilot Foot Control Foot braces (Left & Right)
4x Mounting bolts and spacers
5x Control Cable 15' fitted to footbraces
Fitting tip:
The Vertical Adjustment Plate is easy way to lower the height of the Foot Controls which typically need to sit a bit lower than typical foot braces.
It also allows for set up with a spacer behind the top of the plate to give the pedals a more comfortable angle.
A set of Stud Mounts can be used with the Transitional series of foot braces & toe-pilots if you do not want to drill holes in your kayak - both the Smart Track and Sea-Lect Designs Stud Mount kits (set of 4 stud mounts), will work with these Foot braces.
[Note that the Performance Foot braces cannot be used with stud mount kits as the bar blocks access to the screws - for stud mounting the Transitional series of foot braces must be used]
