Product Description

Perfect dry compression storage for everything from bike packing to sea kayaking and beyond. Made from a bluesign-approved recycled 70D nylon waterproof main body fabric and a 70D eVent® waterproof but air-permeable base that allows you to push air out while still keeping your contents dry inside. This means there's no need for purge valve, making the Evac Compression Dry Bags light and simple.
Four compression straps make it easy to evenly compress soft items, while the hypalon non-wicking roll-top closure also keeps the water out. DWR finishes on both fabrics are C0 non-PFC.
Simple, rugged and reliable the epitome of durability, versatility, and dry compression.

The Xsmall compression dry sack compresses approx. 6L to 2 L, we use this for compressing and keeping dry our down/Dacron Jacket in wet situations where the bag is not submerged.
The Small (8L) and Medium (13L) sized bags are great for compressing our sleeping bags.

Proper Use:

  • Any roll-top dry sack must be closed properly to ensure water can’t get in. Begin by folding the Hypalon™ strip down first and be sure to have at least three rolls before closing the buckle.
  • Avoid contact with sharp objects or subjecting the sack to high abrasion, as this could compromise the waterproof fabric.
  • Like all manufacturers of roll-top, fabric dry sacks, Sea to Summit recommends that sensitive electronic devices be ‘double bagged’ (i.e. putting electronics inside one dry sack then placing this inside a second dry sack). For maximum protection, the use of a waterproof hard case should be considered.
  • Not intended for situations where dry sack will be submerged under water.

FAQ's:

Is this dry bag waterproof? The body of the dry bag is waterproof (10,000 mm hydrostatic head). However, avoid submersion since water can seep through the roll-top closure of any dry bag.

Is this dry bag suitable for paddle sports? Absolutely. The tough nylon material on this dry bag is perfect for water sports. Just be cautious around sharp objects or abrasive surfaces.

Does this bag work for modular packing in a backpack? Yes! Use these bags for all compressible items. First, squeeze the air out, then pack the dry bag into a tight space so it doesn't draw air back in. It works wonders on sleeping bags and insulated clothing.

SEA TO SUMMIT COMPRESSION DRY SACK The Truth about Dry Bags... http://eastcoastkayaking.com.au/dry-bags “I am Very impressed…Can’t get enough of them. I have not yet had a wet sleeping bag." I can’t get enough of these - I use a Compression Dry Sack for sleeping bags, puffy jackets, clothing, wet weather clothing, fly sheets and tents. They have never leaked! Even in wet plastic sea kayaks! In extremely wet kayaks/canoes or an environment such as the Alaskan rainforest, I do however use a heavy-duty trash bag to make sure they are completely 100% waterproof. For thicker down sleeping bags the Medium size is recommended, while for those with less loft a Small size will fit. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A completely new concept in compression dry bags! Squash your gear down to one third the volume and keep it dry. eVent® fabric is totally waterproof and highly breathable (you can feel the air coming out). This allows you to compress the air out without allowing water in.
